  4. Good morning, amazing artisans!! I've got a unique opportunity coming up as I'll be deploying to Afghanistan, but the job I'll be doing is in "MWR"...that's morale, welfare, and recreation. My intention is to introduce some hands-on crafting and art classes (in addition to the library and the gym) once I'm there. These gorgeous pieces would be a perfect seed to start my preparations so I can teach folks to make beautiful things in a place that isn't all that beautiful sometimes. :)
    Thanks! Jen

  5. What couldn't I do with these gorgeous beads? Wow, what a generous giveaway. I know what I would do, I would donate it all to Jen to take to Afghanistan for her crafting classes with our fighting men and women.

  6. Wow! *Crossing my fingers* They're lovely-lovely-lovely!!! :D

  7. Oh wow! Very generous indeed! I would likely need to hoard them for a little while, let the mingle with other parts of my stash and once they've found new best friends - release them back into the wild as jewelry of course

  8. OH, I love the 3 little owls. I can see a necklace and earring set with them. Plus the set on the bottom left and top right are just calling to me to be bracelets. They all look like so much fun. Would love a chance to win.

  9. Beautiful pieces. I would love to win and if I did I would be making numerous necklaces with perhaps some sari ribbon for some and some leather. There would probably be a bracelet or two in the mix also. I would have a grand old time.

  10. Wow! They are all so beautiful! I would love to make a necklace with the cute blue bird pendant for my bff who just graduated college. I'm so proud of her and she would just love those beads!

  11. I'd add those to my mountain of ceramic pieces and see which ones would like to play together....

    ReplyDelete
  12. To win these would be a great honor.

  13. O.M.O!!!

  14. Those are so beautiful. I love owls, those would sure be something for me!! Mmmmm, I see some beautiful bracelets, earrings, and use of leather cord..............man oh man, I see lots of possibilities. Thanks so much for the opportunity.

  15. These are awesome pieces! I would make pretty necklaces - some with with Sari silk, leather cord, or metal links. Right now I am going to go back to staring at the screen at this beads - yummy!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Oh, I'm so in. I wish I may, I wish I might!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Well, I'm not sure about what I'd make, yet. I know I'd open the package they came in, spread them on my table and just handle them for (at least) a 1/2 hour. Then, I'd start pulling open drawers and matching this, tweaking that, moving things around, adding and/or subtracting a chain or ribbon or clasp until I found the perfect complements to these gorgeous beads and focals.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Lovely giveaway -- thanks for the chance to win these goodies!

I'm not sure what I'd do with them. Perhaps I'd rummage through my stash of cords and threads and do some knotting and wrapping. Something simple and clean for the bird focal (either cord or add some chain) and then just "go with the flow" with the other components, just adding what feels right at the moment (wood components, seed beads, novelty yarn, balled wires, anything that feels right). I'm into patinas and hand-coloured metal at the moment so I'd probably want to include patina'd brass, copper, bronze and/or steel components.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I love all those blues/turquoises! I'd make many necklaces, because I'm on a huge necklace kick lately. Though I suppose I'd need to make matching earrings with the owl set. Wonderful beads :)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Oh wow! I would love to these glorious beads!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Oh I love to play the "What would I do with THAT bead?" game. The lovely little bluebird set would find themselves connected into a necklace with a skinny herringbone chain made from a bead soup of various blues. The shell pendant would become the centerpiece of a bead embroidered bracelet surrounded by tiny sea shells, pearls and beads in the colors of the ocean, beach and sky. MaryAnn's assortment could become part of a chunky freeform net of lapis chips and topaz size 6/0 seed beads. Janel's set would make a great bracelet spaced with little bali silver and cobalt blue beads. Lisa's beautiful leaf pendant would be the centerpiece of a spiral rope necklace embellished with czech pressed glass leaves in colors to complement the pendant. The owls would nest, almost hidden, in a fringed necklace of woodland colors. What a lovely lot of eye candy.

  22. These beads are all beautiful - I love the rich colors of teal and green but also the pendants would adapt nicely with some sari silk, leather, other stones and maybe some filigree or brass or copper wire heavily textured and wrapped. Would love to win this group of beauties!

  31. I would create pieces for each season; the bird and matching beads would add a sweet element to a spring design, the seashell is perfect for a summer necklace maybe with the addition of sea glass, the leaf pendant reminds me of a walk in the woods on a crisp autumn day and the owl pendants makes me think of a snowy owl perched on branches in the silent snow. I would create a necklace and earrings with those pieces. I would also add the gorgeous spacer beads throughout the four designs.

AWESOME giveaway! Thank you for sharing these beauties.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I would play with the Beads, enjoying their textures and colors. Then, I would sit & stare at them off and on for hours, trying to understand what they are telling me they wish to become.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Ohhh how generous! I would love to try and incorporate my seed beads with these lovelies and see what I can come up with :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. I'm not sure if you care for specifics, but these thoughts immediately come to mind!

The first two on the top row would be Spring/Summer pendants. The 3rd one on the top row, I would either save to use in various pieces as accent beads (to hang along with pendants or to use as part of a bracelet clasp, for example)...or they would make just a fantastic bracelet mixed all together!

On the second row...the one on the left would make a lovely bracelet (or it would also go wonderfully with the shell pendant (top middle)! I've been trying to save a few nice pieces for Fall as I find them--this middle piece is a beautiful example for a pendant! A couple of clay beads in the lighter leaf color, or fossil beads in the same or lighter color would look lovely with this, and draw attention to the piece without competing with it. Bottom right--the owls! I'm just sure I know who made these! I know she makes beads that would coordinate, but I might go for a lighter white clay bead of hers instead so that the whole piece would not be monochrome. (Ooo, or maybe something with yellowish tones for the accent beads!) I'd have to play a bit here to see if the smaller owls should be earrings to match a pendant, or be part of the necklace. Think I'm leaning toward a necklace at the moment--more unexpected!

See, I have great plans already! Obviously I NEED to win these! :-)

Well, okay, so it's random... (ha!) The items are lovely, and thanks to all for offering this great giveaway! It's been fun "imagining" they were all mine anyway! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  49. There are so many possibilities with these lovely beads! The leaf focal is creaming for some sari silk, the blue bird would look great with some lovely silver branches I have in my stash. I'm sure there are some shells and pearls that would be perfect for the sea focal. Then, I just was gifted a whole stash of vintage beads that would be amazing thrown into the mix. What fun to play with all of these!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Oh wow!! The beads/pendants in this give-away are fabulous!! I see making a beautiful peacock bracelet with the set on the bottom left. A necklace & earring set with the owls on the right. Probably a wire wrapped necklace with the beads on the top right. Depending on the size of the shell pendant, I'd probably pair it with a brass seahorse I'm getting ready to patina. The blue bird set would make a cute necklace & I'd make a necklace pulling all the colors from the beautiful fall pendant. alicia coats jewelry (at) g mail (dot) com.
