I found Beads-of-Clay!
Guess who I saw at the Berks Bead Bazaar In Reading, Pa!
Lisa Peter's Art had a beautiful and busy booth at the show. I always love seeing Lisa, and this time I came home with some of her great connector beads. Lucky for my wallet that my friend bought a BIG pile of my favorite pieces! Oh how we love those Rusty and Crusty pieces!
Here is a close up of some of Lisa's big beautiful round sets! I can just imagine opening up a treasure chest of these big bold beads. I love the rich colors and Lisa's way of combining glazes.
And of course I found Joan Miller! Joan co-organizes the Berks Bead Bazaar with glass artist Louise Mehaffey. It is such a fun show with a great local and Philadelphia area following. I am forever in awe of Joan's detail work with colored slip. I love the sense of humor in her work, with the amply endowed mermaids decked out with 3 color hair, 3 color eyes, eyelashes, lipstick, bikini's and tramp stamp tattoos. I go cross-eyed just thinking of all the wonderful clean little details that Joan pulls together in such tiny spaces.
I noticed Joan using Ceramic Decals a few years back. I love this sepia brown tray. Those bracelets would be right at home in my brown dominated wardrobe :-)
Even I had a table at the show! Here is the Artisan Clay Display. I brought along all the jewelry pieces I have made for the Beads-of-Clay color Challenge. It was fun seeing what new pieces everybody was drawn to.

I have known Mel and her work online through The Beads-of-Clay Yahoo group, Ceramic Arts Forum, and Facebook for some time now and I am so glad to get to meet in person!
Melinda was wearing the Best Necklace! It had tons of clay pieces and so much motion!
What a small world! I love that the blog world is bringing more of us together...it makes me feel good to know that I'm not the only one who lives with all this sort of stuff around! haaaaaaaa
