Complementary Colors are colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel, such as blue and orange, red and green, purple and yellow. You can find some bold combinations when working in opposites! It didn't come naturally to me when I started working on my example. I had to remind myself that Challenging was the name of the game! I find complimentary colors hard to take in large bright doses. So I found myself making 4 quick simple designs with just a few elements in a effort to banish my compliment complaint.
The Top image, uses an orange stoneware clay and recycled glass bulls eye pendant and a piece of a glass bottle which I tumbled a while back and my friend Staci drilled for me. Very bold indeed!
This second focal is one of my green bursts. I tried to take the normal Christmas colors and give a spring feel, but no luck! My husband called it a wreath ;-) It is fun to wear!

In this next necklace, I took yellow and purple, and tried to soften them up a bit. I used pale mustard yellow and soft translucent purple glass beads.
Lastly I have this blue and orange linen necklace. I love this style, and I actually made this one first. In this one, the blue is strong and the orange is paler.
I can't wait to see what everyone makes in for this Challenge!
